This notice provides the information required by Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) about personal data processed through YorkieStudio.

2. Personal data, purposes, legal bases, and retention

Newsletter and weekly updates

  • Data: email address and available subscription or consent records.
  • Purpose: to send Mano’s and YorkieStudio’s weekly updates.
  • Legal basis: consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Subscription is voluntary.
  • Retention: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. A minimal record may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance.

Direct email and enquiries

  • Data: email address, name if provided, message, and correspondence.
  • Purpose: to respond to questions, messages, or collaboration enquiries.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), namely responding to a message you voluntarily send and maintaining necessary correspondence.
  • Retention: normally no longer than two years after the last contact, unless a longer period is required to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Website operation, security, and statistics

  • Data: IP address, browser and device data, referring page, visited pages, security information, and cookie or similar identifiers where applicable.
  • Purpose: hosting, technical operation, spam and abuse prevention, security, and understanding general website performance.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) for essential operation and security; consent under Article 6(1)(a) where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
  • Retention: according to the relevant WordPress.com, Jetpack, and service-provider retention schedules, and no longer than necessary for the stated purpose.

3. Recipients and processors

Personal data may be processed only as needed by service providers supporting YorkieStudio, including Automattic/WordPress.com/Jetpack for hosting, forms, subscriptions, security, and statistics, and Google/Gmail for email communication. YorkieStudio does not sell personal data.

4. Transfers outside the EEA

Some service providers may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard permitted by the GDPR. 5. Your GDPR rights

  • Access your personal data and receive information about its processing.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion where the legal requirements are met.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time for future processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Withdrawing consent

You can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link included in a newsletter or contact yorkiestudiomano@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

7. Supervisory authority

In Hungary, complaints may be submitted to the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): https://www.naih.hu/.

8. Automated decisions

YorkieStudio does not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Updates

This notice may be revised when the website, processing activities, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
